In what is one of the most exciting weekends of the NFL post-season, we have finally hit championship Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers collide for the NFC title at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington at 6:30 PM ET on January 19, 2014. Of course it all comes down to two of the most heated rivals in the game squaring off for a spot in the Super Bowl. It also happens that they are NFC West opponents. We are going to bet on the Seahawks in this one.
Seattle Seahawks: Putting final stamp on rivalry
A win at home on Sunday over their hated rivals, the 49ers, would put a stamp on this season for the Seahawks. They can return to the Super Bowl for the first time since a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL by a score of 21-10. The Seahawks suffered just one loss at home this season, a 17-10 decision against the Arizona Cardinals in week 16. The Seahawks have not dropped a home playoff game since a 27-20 loss to the St. Louis Rams during the 2004 post-season.
San Francisco 49ers: Riding eight-game win streak
What could be better than an eight-game winning streak heading into the NFC title game? The 49ers believe that this is a major confidence booster heading into the raucous stadium in Seattle this weekend. The 49ers have not lost a game since they dropped a 23-20 decision to the New Orleans Saints in week 11. They have gone on the road to win games over the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers to setup this rivalry game with the 49ers.
We find the betting odds for the NFC title game at BetOnline.ag between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. We will split 10 percent of our bankroll on the host Seahawks to grab the win with the -3.5 (-110) spread on Sunday evening and the UNDER 39 total points scored at -110.
