We could be in for another ugly Thursday Night Football game as the Patriots host the Jets at Gillette Stadium for an AFC East contest. These two teams are headed in opposite directions as the Patriots come in with a 4-2 record and the Jets are just 1-5 on the season. A loss to the Patriots tonight would effectively end the Jets season, if it isn’t already over by now. We are going to place our bet on the host Patriots as they win their fifth game of the season.
Patriots enjoying offensive turnaround of late
New England has scored 37 or more points in each of their last two games, both wins, after struggling offensively to begin the season. Tom Brady has won six straight regular season home games against the Jets, throwing nine touchdowns to just one interception. Over the last two games for New England, Brady has thrown for 653 yards and six touchdowns. He did not throw an interception in either of those two games.
Jets season has come to an end early in the year
After winning their season opener, the Jets have lost five straight games and are headed for a disastrous sixth consecutive loss tonight. It is a shock that the spread is only 10 points after seeing how bad this defense is. Now, it will be without cornerback Dee Milliner, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury last weekend. This game could be out of reach quite early if the Jets cannot stop Brady and the Patriots offense.
On Thursday night, the Patriots will host the Jets in what should be another ugly Thursday Night Football contest on national television. We are going to make our bet at Bovada.lv, where the Patriots are favored by 10 points. We will drop 20 percent of our bankroll on the host Patriots and the -520 money line as they take down the Jets.
