Before we lay out the odds, preview, and prediction for the Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 2025 NFL action, check out our NFL betting odds and Super Bowl LX odds for 2026.
The Detroit Lions enter Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season with the No. 3 scoring offense in the league with an average of 32.5 points per game. Meanwhile, the defense ranks 21st, giving up 24.0 points per outing.
Jared Goff is among the NFL leaders in yards (559), completions (54), average (8.3 yards), and yards per game (279.5), while leading the league in completion percentage at 80.6. He has six touchdown passes and one interception.
The Lions need to take advantage of the questionable Ravens defense, who are likely to be without star linebacker Kyle Van Noy, who suffered a hamstring injury against the Browns. Even with Van Noy in the lineup, the Ravens D hasn’t been great. Goff needs to attack in the air, where the Ravens are the second-worst team in the NFL, giving up an average of 298.5 yards per game.
Offense is what is going to win this game, and with the Lions averaging 267 yards in the air per game, they have a chance to hang with Baltimore if they can establish the passing game early.
We have seen two different versions of the Lions so far this year, and we still don’t know which version of the team is the true version. This game could go a long way to showing what to expect from Detroit for the rest of 2025.
The Baltimore Ravens have the highest scoring offense in the NFL so far this year, with an average of 40.5 points per game. The defense ranks 25th, surrendering an average of 29.0 points per matchup.
Lamar Jackson is having a decent season in the passing department, completing 68.8 percent of his passes (33 for 48) for 434 yards. He has thrown for six touchdowns and zero interceptions. Jackson, who is also known for his running ability, has eight carries for 83 yards and one rushing TD. Jackson has a 24-2 career record against NFC teams with a 7-2 record on Monday Night Football. His touchdown-to-interception ratio on MNF is 22-0. Jackson is very hard to beat on Monday Night.
Derrick Henry had a very good game in Week 1, but he came back to earth in Game 2, where he averaged 2.1 yards per carry on 11 attempts for 23 yards total. In Week 1, Henry picked up 169 yards on 18 carries for an average of 9.4 yards while scoring twice. The Ravens need a bounce-back performance from Henry against Detroit.
The Ravens’ defense collapsed in Game 1 against the Bills but looked better against the Browns. However, they will have their work cut out for them against Goff’s active passing game. If Goff can establish control early, the Ravens’ defense could be the weak spot that costs them on Monday Night Football.
There will be a lot of offense in this game as both teams are aggressive and high scoring. So, while the over looks very high for this game, expect these teams to rack up points.
The betting pick is for the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens to hit the over on Monday Night Football.
