Super Bowl LX takes place on Sunday, February 8, from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The New England Patriots represent the AFC in the game, while the Seattle Seahawks come out of the NFC. The 2026 Super Bowl is a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX from 2015. We consider the best bets to win the Super Bowl MVP award.
When considering your Super Bowl LX MVP bets, the first thing you want to do is pick which team you think will walk away with the Vince Lombardi trophy on Sunday. The NFL has awarded the Super Bowl MVP every year since the first game in 1967. The only player to win MVP while on the losing team was Chuck Howley, a Dallas Cowboys linebacker, who lost to the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V in 1971. Howley had two interceptions and a fumble recovery in that game.
Another thing to consider is how well the quarterback of the winning team will perform. A quarterback has walked away with the Super Bowl MVP 34 times. In the past 10 years, QBs have won the MVP seven times, including in the past three games. Other winners have been wide receivers (twice) and a linebacker.
One of those wide receivers, Cooper Kupp, could earn his second Super Bowl MVP. Now playing for Seattle, Kupp won the MVP at Super Bowl LVI as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

In two playoff games this year, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has completed 37 of 53 passing attempts for 470 yards, while throwing four touchdown passes and zero interceptions. Arnold’s pass completion percentage of 69.8 is second to Buffalo’s Josh Allen in the playoffs (71.6). The Seahawks QB is first in the postseason in yards per pass at 8.9, and his passer rating of 122.4 is by far the best among playoff quarterbacks.
Darnold is coming off one of the best games of his NFL career, throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC championship game.
Darnold threw 14 interceptions during the regular season, which was the third-most in the NFL, but he has righted that in the playoffs. The Patriots’ defense has five interceptions in the playoffs, but four of those came in one game against the Texans.
If Darnold can play as well as he has in the two previous playoff games this year, he has an outstanding chance to lead his team to victory and secure the MVP award for Super Bowl LX.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is one of the betting favorites to win the NFL regular season MVP. The second-year QB had a fantastic season, finishing the year with 4,394 passing yards, 8.9 yards per attempt, a completion rate of 72 percent, and 31 touchdowns to eight interceptions. Most notably, Maye led the Pats from a 4-13 record in 2024 to a 14-3 mark and a Super Bowl berth in 2025.
Maye has his work cut out for him at the Super Bowl, not only is his team the betting underdog to the Seahawks, but his completion percentage has fallen to 55.8, his yards per pass has dropped to 6.9, and his yards per game is worse, going from 258.5 to 177.7. He has thrown two interceptions in his three playoff appearances.
Another worrying development with Maye is that last week he was listed as questionable to play in Super Bowl LX because of a right shoulder injury. Maye needs to be 100 percent to lead his team to a win over the favored Seahawks.
If there was an MVP for the NFC championship game, it was Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba had 10 receptions on 12 targets for 153 yards. He picked up nine first downs and one touchdown in the game, and he always seemed to be at the right place at the right time.
Smith-Njigba only had three catches (on four targets) for 19 yards in the Seahawks’ win over the 49ers. Look for Darnold to connect with Smith-Njigba as much as possible in Super Bowl LX.
Smith-Njigba led the NFL regular season with 1,793 receiving yards on 119 receptions (163 targets). He was tied for sixth in the league in receiving touchdowns with 10, and his average of 105.5 yards per game was second in the NFL.
Sam Darnold had a good year in 2024 that ended badly with the Minnesota Vikings. That ending with losses to the Lions in the regular season and the Rams in the playoffs led the Vikings to let Darnold walk as a free agent. The Seahawks picked up Darnold on a three-year, $100 million deal. That contract has paid immediate dividends, as Darnold has Seattle in the Super Bowl. Look for him to lead his team to a win at Super Bowl LX and for Darnold to win the MVP.
The betting pick is that Sam Darnold will win the Super Bowl LX MVP award.
