The new Las Vegas Marathon has a fresh course for runners this year.
Brooksee’s Las Vegas Marathon will feature the traditional 26.2-mile race, a 13.1-mile half-marathon, and a unique 7.02-mile race specifically designed for local runners.
Las Vegas, a favorite destination for travelers, has surprisingly not hosted a major full marathon since 2019.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, operated by Ironman subsidiary Competitor Group, produced a marathon partially run along the Las Vegas Strip from 2009 to 2019.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas half-marathon, 10k, and 5k event returns to the Strip on February 22-23.

However, Brooksee, an event organizer based in Salt Lake City, revealed the new Las Vegas Marathon scheduled for November 3 last fall.
The full marathon will kick off at Sandstone Quarry along the Scenic Loop in Red Rock.
Runners participating in the half marathon will start at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Merialdo Lane near Boca Park.
Las Vegas Marathon Route
The marathon begins at the Sandstone Quarry Overlook in Red Rock Canyon.
It winds its way through Downtown Summerlin, moving east along Charleston Boulevard. It passes through Symphony Park and the 18b Arts District, culminating at the Fremont Street Experience.
This fast course features a downhill stretch from Red Rock, providing marathon runners with a unique Vegas experience right from the start.
Buses will transport participants from downtown to the starting area in Red Rock. The scenic route will not be accessible by vehicle.
Spectators are invited to watch as the runners depart from Red Rock and make their way down Charleston.
The “702” event (7.02 miles) will commence at Charleston and Strong Drive, just west of Rancho Drive.

On November 3, the finish line along the Fremont Street Experience will create a festive atmosphere, complete with a beer garden, a variety of food and drink options, live entertainment, and plenty of photo ops.
Meow Wolf is the presenting sponsor, and everyone is invited to the post-race party at the company’s immersive art exhibit Omega Mart at Area15.
Brooksee organizes nine races each year throughout the country, attracting approximately 50,000 participants.
Las Vegas now ranks alongside Portland, Oregon, and Mesa, Arizona, as one of the company’s top three marathon locations.
