Alright, let us have a little fun here at Vegas Betting. That is because we may have some early Happy Gilmore 2 Bets. Bovada Vegas online sportsbook and a couple of other sportsbooks delivered some numbers for this event. The sequel does not even have a firm release date, but speculation keeps growing anyway. Adam Sandler anchored the original as the movie far exceeded box office expectations. Let us see and make some potential picks.
The Happy Gilmore 2 Bets cannot forget the original. Again, few were truly sure what Happy Gilmore would do at the box office. Yes. Adam Sandler was brilliant on Saturday Night Live. How would this golfing/hockey-loving character fare in a full feature-length film? Considering budgets were lesser in the 1990’s, the 1996 film cost $12 million to make and grossed almost $40 million. That is quite a return on investment.
Yes, that revenue does not include future royalties, DVD releases, and much more. Again, the cult phenomenon that Happy Gilmore became lingers to this day. The film may be 28 years old and yet there are qualities to the film which screamed for a sequel to be made.
So, there are some loose ends. Honestly, this gets difficult to gauge as far as a release date. Do they wait for a 30th anniversary of sorts to release the film? It is a great question. This creates a bridge to the original and makes a good deal of sense. Many will want to get this right including Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Considering a sequel of The Wedding Singer (1998) never happened, Happy Gilmore 2 will have greatly heightened expectations.
The problem is forecasting a release date. Now, many rumors have come and gone whether this film will come out before 2025 ends or not. Numbers range from -110 (Bovada) to -120 on BetUS one way or the other. Quite a few pundits have gone back and forth with this. A 2026 release keeps making the most sense. This is a sequel that should not be rushed.
So, what about Chubbs in the Happy Gilmore 2 Bets? Yes, there are other potential wagers too. Carl Weathers recently passed away and that has had some sentimental value in who appears first. As most know, Happy Gilmore’s grandmother played a prominent role in the original. She comes in as a longer shot here at +300 to appear before anyone else in the film.
With wagers increasing from several angles, there is a middle ground to consider and that is of course the late Bob Barker. Barker’s fight with Adam Sandler’s character was another quintessential moment of the original. Barker rolls in at +200 here but does not seem to have much of a chance given the other two choices.
So, the numbers feel like they are at a bit of a crossroads. This hinges on a strange conundrum. Does Adam Sandler channel back to Grandma (family) or the reason for his success that helped his grandma? Remember the final vision of the original with a two-handed Chubbs, the gator, and yes Abraham Lincoln. Maybe, this actually offers a hope for Grandma?
Again, the odds will shift in the months and potentially more once a date is finalized. Keep an eye on where and when the books may move here. After all, there figures to be some time between now and that pesky release date. If one wants to get in on the action now, the suggested bet is actually score one for Grandma at this point. Take the plus money and run!
Okay, how about a few more Happy Gilmore 2 Bets? The problem stares us right in the face. How far is too far here? Alas, let us take this as far as it can go. Some wagers jump out a bit and others do not. Which broadcaster do we hear first? Could the broadcaster serve as a narrator for an opening scene err flashback? Again, there lie many possibilities here. Jim Nantz is interesting here. However, there is one thing to consider.
Now, Dan Patrick makes a lot of sense but he is Even right now. That may be cost prohibitive to a point but the expectation was he would open at -150 or -200. So, actually, there is a little room for movement. Even does not sound so bad. Again, these bets are worth a few dollars here and there.
Then, there comes the amount of kids. Now, talk about a huge question. Does art imitate real life here? Consider that Sandler has two kids. The Under at 2 1/2 kids rumbles in at -165. Few should be surprised by this as Sandler likes tie-ins like this. However, the fantasy aspect of three or more golfing prodigies is interesting at +120.
For the Happy Gilmore 2 Bets, picking Tiger Woods to appear may be a pretty safe bet even at +200. He has been spotted with Sandler several times and the rumor mill has picked up on this angle very heavily. There is smoke and fire on this one.
BetUS Online Sportsbook Review keeps us entertained for this sequel and more. With the upcoming release of Beetlejuice 2, there is already an Over/Under on opening weekend gross. That number resides at $100.5 million currently.
