Ownership Group
The ownership group of the Vegas Thrill comprises a blend of local and national business leaders and sports enthusiasts.
This collective is spearheaded by local political figure Andy Abboud, an executive affiliated with Las Vegas Sands, and Jon Bruning, former Nebraska Attorney General and Founder/Managing Partner of the nationally acclaimed Bruning Law Group.
Abboud and Bruning have joined forces with the Foley Entertainment Group (FEG), responsible for managing the city’s beloved Vegas Golden Knights and the Henderson Silver Knights.
In addition, City+Ventures, a national investment and business acceleration organization, is committed to investing in women’s professional volleyball in the United States.
Danny White, co-founder of City+Ventures, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Partnering with the Foley Entertainment Group and having the support of iconic Vegas-born teams like the Vegas Golden Knights shows incredible support for these athletes in bringing the very best of professional volleyball to Vegas and to fans throughout the United States. My business partners, Kirk Thompson, and Chris Erickson, have seen firsthand how Vegas does pro sports, and fans are in for a real thrill.”
The team, led by Head Coach Fran Flory, Analyst and Consultant Russ Rose, Vegas Thrill President Ruben Herrera, and the franchise’s first official player, Alisha Glass Childress, engaged with the community during a special unveiling event at The Dollar Loan Center Arena.

This surge has translated into promising viewership numbers and record attendances at various schools, fueling hope that the league can establish a substantial presence in the competitive sports landscape.
As they gear up for their first Pro Volleyball Federation match on February 7 against the Omaha Supernovas in Omaha, Nebraska, the Vegas Thrill has already signed six world-class, internationally renowned professional players.
They are Kayla Banwarth, Layne Van Buskirk, Alisha Glass Childress, Saskia Hippe, Molly McCage, and Berkeley Oblad.
The Vegas Thrill is set to be part of the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation season in 2024, joining six other U.S. teams.
