The Las Vegas Strip has become a hub for all types of music, from country performers selling out one venue to DJs and electronic dance music stars headlining sold-out shows just a few blocks away.
David Guetta, one of the biggest names in electronic dance music, will be coming to the Strip for a two-year residency.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which had a remarkable 20-year journey from its groundbreaking to its opening late last year, has struggled to find an identity.
The North Strip resort went through multiple owners and was often considered a failed project.
Its location next to the much larger Resorts World Las Vegas and the family-friendly Circus Circus hasn’t helped, as these neighbors attract most of the traffic.
While the North Strip holds potential, it currently represents a mix of open land, promise, and risk.
Resorts World has become a destination due to its grand spectacle and has hosted stars like Katy Perry. Carrie Underwood and comedian Kevin Hart are scheduled to perform at Resorts World Theater.
Fontainebleau lacks a similar top-tier artist lineup, but it is aiming to change that by hosting EDM star David Guetta for a two-year residency.
Although Guetta may not have the same mainstream recognition as stars like Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, or Adele, he is a massive figure in the EDM world.
A Fontainebleau news release states, “Guetta is a musical trailblazer and an international icon.
He has been voted the world’s best DJ in the DJ Mag’s Top 100 four times and won Best Electronic Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Guetta will begin his two-year U.S. residency at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and Fontainebleau Miami Beach in 2025.
He will perform at Fontainebleau’s LIV nightlife and LIV Beach daylife experiences, along with additional resort-wide performances in both Las Vegas and Miami.
“David is a once-in-a-generation talent who embodies the charisma and class that defines the Fontainebleau brand,” said Fontainebleau Development CEO Jeffrey Soffer.
“He’s a natural fit for the luxury lifestyle and vibrant energy of LIV and LIV Beach, and his presence underscores Fontainebleau’s status as a global entertainment destination featuring the artists that audiences want to see.”

Eagles at Sphere
Sphere Entertainment continues to bring superstar entertainers to its 18,600-seat venue, which can accommodate up to 20,000 standing.
Following U2’s residency, the Sphere welcomed the jam band Phish for a limited engagement with four shows on April 18, 19, 20, and 21, marking their only performances at the Sphere in 2024.
Grateful Dead spinoff band Dead & Company, who concluded their final concert tour at Oracle Park in San Francisco on July 16, 2023, have scheduled 30 shows at the Las Vegas Sphere from May 16 through August 10, 2024.
Another renowned rock band, The Eagles, has announced their final tour dates.
After years of farewell tours since their “Farewell 1 Tour” in 2003, they plan to end their touring career with a show in the Netherlands on June 15, 2024, as part of their “Long Goodbye” tour.
Despite fans’ skepticism about their retirement from touring—given that the band’s late singer/guitarist Glenn Frey once quipped during a 2005 show, “If you’re payin’, we’re playin'”—The Eagles are not retiring from performing.
They have signed up for the next residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, with eight shows over four weekends scheduled for September 20, 21, 27, 28, and October 11, 12, 18, and 19.
Artist presale registration is available at Eagles.com for a presale beginning June 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific time via Ticketmaster.
Official Platinum and VIP packages presales also start on June 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific, while Live Nation and Sirius XM presales begin June 20 at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 21 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
Fans attending these shows will experience the Sphere’s next-generation technologies, including the world’s highest-resolution LED display that envelops the audience for a fully immersive visual environment.
The Sphere also boasts the world’s most advanced concert-grade sound system, Sphere Immersive Sound, powered by Holoplot, delivering audio with unmatched clarity and precision.
The current lineup of The Eagles includes Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, country and bluegrass star Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey, the son of the band’s late founder Glenn Frey, who passed away in 2016.
Third Wynn Tower
Wynn Resorts’ plan to build a third tower on the Las Vegas Strip is still in motion, and the construction deadline has been extended to April 2026.
The new tower will have 1,100 rooms and a 28,000-square-foot casino space on the former site of the New Frontier Hotel.
However, no development timeline was announced before the pandemic shutdown in 2020.
This delay can be attributed to the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Steve Wynn published by the Wall Street Journal shortly after Wynn West’s announcement.
These accusations, which Steve Wynn denied, led to his resignation from all corporate positions and caused significant disruption for Wynn Resorts.
Initially, Crown Resorts planned a $6 billion resort on the site, but Wynn acquired the land in 2018.
