The World Series of Poker is returning for another exciting summer on the Las Vegas Strip.
As Memorial Day weekend draws tens of thousands of visitors to the Strip, Horseshoe, and Paris Las Vegas, hosted by Caesars Entertainment, are gearing up for the third consecutive year of the WSOP.

The seven-week tournament, featuring 99 gold bracelet events, will run from May 28 to July 17, 2024.
Last year’s WSOP broke records in multiple tournaments, including the World Championship Main Event, which had an unprecedented 10,043 entries. The $12.1 million payout to the winner, Daniel Weinman, came from the largest prize pool in live poker history—$93,399,900.
WSOP Vice President Jack Effel shared insights into the 2024 event, noting the continued upward trend in poker’s popularity. “The barometer for poker is high, and access to tournaments and cash games keeps increasing,” Effel said.
Reflecting on last year’s record turnout, he added, “Poker has evolved into a sporting activity requiring a different level of training than during the ‘Moneymaker Effect’ boom 20 years ago.”
World Series of Poker On The Las Vegas Strip At Paris and Horseshoe
The WSOP will again be held at Paris Hotel & Casino and the rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas, formerly Bally’s.
Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup Champion Jonathan Marchessault will deliver the ceremonial “shuffle up and deal” on May 28, kicking off the first event: the $5,000 buy-in Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold ’em Freezeout.
This new event offers a unique bounty format, granting automatic entry into the 2024 Main Event to players who knock out former Main Event champions.

The WSOP Main Event will run from July 3-6. It will feature the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em World Championship. Last year’s Main Event set a record with 10,043 entries.
Online events through WSOP.com and daily Mega Satellites will offer more opportunities for players to qualify for tournaments. Specialty satellites will also be available for high-roller events.
This year, additional ballrooms have been added, expanding the venue to nearly 700 poker tables over more than 200,000 square feet. Daily No-Limit Hold ’em Deep Stack tournaments will also be available throughout the event.
WSOP registration has been streamlined, with more digital options reducing wait times. The crossover between poker and sports betting is evident, with many poker rooms featuring live sports broadcasts.
