Below you’ll find a few favorites and contenders to win the Genesis Scottish Open 2025 golf tournament.
After a crazy start to the Summer, it makes sense for the PGA to take a two-week swing to Europe. First comes the Genesis Scottish Open. Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy lead the way in the odds. So far in 2025, both golfers have won three times. McIlroy took The Masters golf tournament in April and Scheffler is still the number one golfer jn the world. He won the PGA Championship in May but has not won on British soil.
Recent performances have been awfully consistent from Scheffler. He has 11 Top 10 results in 16 tournaments. It is like the guy is an automatic to be in the hunt. People forget the American golfer finished third in 2023. He did not enter the Genesis last year.
Then there is Rory McIlroy. Mcilroy has six Top 10 results in 12 events entered this year on the PGA Tour. He, like we mentioned, won the 2025 Masters. Also, the European won at Pebble Beach and at The Players Championship. That is an interesting trifecta to say the least. McIlroy won this tournament two years ago ahead of Robert MacIntyre and Scheffler.
Scheffler’s success is largely thanks to his strong tee-to-green game. He ranks first on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: tee to green (SG:T2G) but has also been the tour’s third-best scrambler.
At +360 this may be the one time to take a chance on Scheffler. Again, this is not a completely true links-style golf course.

When it comes to taking a deeper look at the Genesis Scottish Open 2025 bets, one has to consider some golfers who have the ability to play both sides of the pond well. Fans and bettors alike sometimes forget that this course was designed by an American with a fondness for links-golf.
Fitzpatrick seeks to win his first tournament in two years. It is hard to believe that the 2022 U.S. Open winner has had some bad luck. However, some of it Is self-inflicted. Fitzpatrick righted himself in May and June and has come off two Top 20 results in a row. He shot all four rounds in the 60’s for the first time in 2025 at the Rocket Classic. Also, expect his numbers not to last. Some have seen numbers at +3000 and below already. It is only Tuesday.
The 30-year-old’s game is best suited to this type of tournament. While several of the top golfers appear to be not quite as motivated, Fitzpatrick is dialed in right now. Simply, that means a lot. Always keep an eye on the weather but the Englishman could be right there on Sunday.
The damp weather of Scotland will be a positive thing for him too. Considering his good form coming into the tournament and the value while you can get, this is a bet one can get behind. Even around +3000, Fitzpatrick could be a steal.

Despite heading overseas, there are always some winning props or at least the potential. Think of Top 10 and Top 20 wagers along with possible players to make or miss the cut. After all, it is more than just picks based on wins. Sometimes going down the aisle and looking around can help. He knows courses like this like they are home.
Like Robert MacIntyre, home advantages help here. Examining golfers who thrive in these conditions is important. One never quite knows when the Scottish winds and rains will roll in.
If he starts well, there is every chance he rolls into yet another top finish, and at +320 there is value in backing the golfer who has back-to-back Top 25 results at the Genesis Scottish Open.
