With the end of the FedEx Cup playoffs on Sunday, there is a hunt to find some golf to bet on. Fear not, as the 2025 Omega European Masters Championship starts this Thursday from the picturesque Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland. This course is a little shorter than most are used to at 6.824 yards and is a Par-70. Do not expect anyone to come close to the current format course record of 260 set by Colin Montgomerie in 1996.
Some of the top golf players in the world will battle this course over 72 holes between August 28-31 2025, to see who can accumulate the best score and win this DP World Tour event. Can Matt Fitzpatrick deliver or perhaps another European or maybe an American shocks the wagering cosmos?

Below you will find some contenders, a favorite and a longer shot or two to win the 2025 Omega European Masters golf tournament.
Once again, the Omega European Masters 2025 betting favorites look different. Sure, Matt Fitzpatrick is here but for more bettors, they are not quite used to the DP World Tour. It is a different sort of golf. Add in this week’s event and the scenic views of the Alps are like icing on the cake. Bettors may not be able to make heads or tails of things with a different kind of field. Omega European Masters bets may look odd.
Most of the top golfers in the world are not here and some golfers are battling for Ryder Cup slots. Luke Donald will name the European contingent on September 1st more than likely. Anyway, Matt Fitzpatrick has had an intriguing season but he may not even be the best Fitzpatrick to pick. Also, that +850 number could scare some bettors away. Matt has won this tournament twice though.
Now, the one thing that concerns a lot of people with Fitzpatrick is the consistency. No one is truly sure if we will see his Alps form or something else. The same kind of goes for Alex Noren. Noren is another golfer who has experienced much success in the scenic Alps (two wins). He spent the good part of 2025 fully recovering from a nasty injury and surgery.
Aaron Rai (+1400 to win) and the Hojgaard brothers (+2000) are on the edge of the favorites here. Rai is one of those golfers who can get hot with the putter quickly. The Hojgaard brothers, to their credit, flew all the way from New York to Switzerland to get ready early for this tournament.
At Even or plus money, taking a look at Top 5 results or at least Top 10 for Matt Fitzpatrick as the favorites may be the safer bet as opposed to winning the whole thing.

When it comes to Omega European Masters bets, little brother enters the tournament. Why? One could argue that the Englishman is more suited to play this Alps course. Alex Fitzpatrick has finished fifth and sixth here. There was that Saturday round of 75 which derailed his 2024 hopes. He did bounce back on the Sunday though. Again, we are thinking longer shots here.
Thanks to the generous Top 5 and Top 10 props here, one can get as much as +400 for a Top 10 result. Given the pedigree and potential the Englishman has shown in Switzerland, this is surprising. Now, the field is a little different too. We understand that. However, the risk is not quite as high with fewer Top 30 world players getting ready for the Ryder Cup at the end of September.
The golfer ranks inside the Top 20 in strokes gained on approach and tee-to-green. A breakthrough is going to come eventually and it might be this weekend.

The appeal of a few more options for this tournament was too tough to pass on. Heading down the list of odds reveal the possibility of an American winning. Wyndham Clark is a top golfer. That +2500 number is eye-catching. Clark can win events on his first try. He does not quite have the pressure of golfers like Matt Fitzpatrick, Marco Penge, and others.
Clark won the 2023 US Open and had three very good tournaments (two in Europe) where he finished no worse than T-12. Imagine if he did not open with a 76 at The Open Championships, Clark was the best golfer over the final three rounds.
If one wants to dive down a little further, there is always Jordan Smith who has a tour-leading eight Top 10 results in 2025. At +3000, this event may not be the most suited to his game. However, all it takes is one event to make a career. Look at Tommy Fleetwood at The Tour Championship last week.
If Haotong Li can get going early, he is worth a look here too. At +3300 to win and +260 for a Top 10, that may be another golfer to consider.
