September continues as the Heavyweight Division heats up again. Let dig into this championship bout scheduled for after 10:00 p.m. ET in England. Yes, the big punchers come out for the IBF Heavyweight Championship belt. It likely will be a last title shot for both fighters. Who will win in the Dubois vs Joshua Bets between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua?
Numbers seemed to not have moved all that much in the past few weeks. Here are some of the best online Las Vegas boxing betting sites for more information.
Dubois vs Joshua Odds | |||
---|---|---|---|
Daneiel Dubois | +350 | +325 | +330 |
Anthony Joshua | -475 | -450 | -525 |
Over 7.5 Rounds | -115 | -115 | -115 |
Under 7.5 Rounds | -115 | -115 | -115 |
Dubois vs Joshua bets like the combative Joshua. It is a different fight when Anthony Joshua asserts himself. Yes, there is always risk to doing that. However, if the 34-year-old wants to become a champion, Joshua has to come out firing and not let off the gas pedal. It is that mentality which has reinvigorated his career after two losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
Both pugilists are way over 200 pounds and can drop an opponent easily. Joshua has 25 knockouts in 31 fights while Dubois has 20 knockouts in 23 fights. Do not look at the age difference so much here. Dubois is seven years younger at 27 but arguably the older Brit may have more power.
The previous four bouts have all been wins and the last three have featured knockouts from Joshua. Furthermore, there is somewhat of a case to be made that Joshua won the second Usyk fight. Anyway, urgency needs to reign supreme. When Joshua gets nervous, the room for bad outcomes increases greatly.
We talked about the lack of noticeable movement. Well, Joshua rolls in as a -475 to -525 favorite on the Moneyline. Pundits feel reasonably confident that Joshua will finally get to be a Heavyweight Champion once again.
This bout highlights two similar styles at over 200 pounds. Now, there remains a clear tendency for Dubois. He is more than capable of being knocked down and knocked out. Dubois has never seen a conventional decision. The younger fighter either knocks them out or gets knocked out. So, the Dubois vs Joshua Bets expect a great deal of fireworks. Could we see another potential Joshua knockout ?
Many laughed at that 7.5 Round prop for this fight. However, there are some other props to consider in this fight. If one believes in a middle-round ending, then this is a viable bet. There is plenty of room to go for the KO. Joshua again could go cautious but I think that causes him to get dropped here. That is the problem. Safe is truly death here.
Boxing PPV experts believe that Joshua knows he has to go in and take out Dubois. He can wear down the younger Brit as he often expends a lot of energy in his power shots. Joshua has a four-inch reach advantage and can use that to jab Dubois enough. Then hurting him with a few counter-punching combinations, Joshua can then go for the knockout blows.
The round props could be a better option. Joshua between rounds 7-9 is an intriguing +275. Seven seems to be that sweet spot or maybe early in Round 8. Either way, the knockout at -240 is a little dull. Go for the knockout in a specific round group instead.
Dubois vs Joshua bets ask can Dubois defend his belt? So, the worry with Dubois here is the man only knows how to fight straight ahead. He can dispense immense punishment but can be knocked down and sometimes out. Usyk took him out and even Joe Joyce stunned the Englishman. That is where the problems begin.
Okay, Dubois is going to have to take a lot of jabs to get inside Joshua and then be able to land something that falls the slightly taller opponent. Can he get that job done? It feels like a tall order. Again, go back to any of Dubois’ 23 fights. Yes, a kill or be killed strategy feels very much in the cards here. The demolition of Filip Hrgovic is nice but he is nowhere near Joshua.
Again, the attack plan is simple for Dubois. Get Joshua to become more and more apprehensive. The way for Dubois to do that is likely hurt Joshua early. Can Dubois keep up that pace and go for an earlier knockout? He almost has to as the stamina will fade and that ends poorly. If the younger fighter wins, it will be by mid-round knockout on Saturday night.
How about those other props? Always know there are so many Vegas online boxing odds. After all, for Dubois it is about the Rounds 3-6 range while for Joshua is maybe in the 6-9 ballpark. Either way, the chances this ends as a decision is low. Daniel Dubois by decision is in the +1100 or +1200 range.
Even Joshua is an astounding +500 to +600. Contrast that with his knockout prop. Again, the only way to get plus money on Joshua is to go for the round range props. Even the Under is -115 which is not as bad as -240 (KO) or -450 like BetOnline for the Moneyline
Anyway, either fighter to win between Rounds 4-6 is +250. For Rounds 7-9 that number inches up to +285.
Dubois vs Joshua bets roll the Joshua this weekend.
