The MotoGP riders have the week off after Marc Marquez won his seventh straight race. Next up will be the Catalonia race on September 7th. With eight races left in the season, the champion is academic but the podium may not be. However, we look at MotoGP 2025 Podium Bets worth taking that plunge for along with the usual updates.
So by the end of August, it is clear to just accept the reality. Now, we congratulate Marc Márquez as he holds an insane 175 point lead over his brother Alex. However, this opens a few avenues and opportunities. At VegasBetting, we take a look at some numbers which may have been inconceivable even a month or so ago.
We have plenty of those Vegas betting site bonuses, as September rapidly nears. Okay, let us race into MotoGP online betting odds:
| MotoGP World Championship | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marc Marquez | -25000 | -25000 | -50000 |
| Alex Marquez | +3300 | +3500 | +4000 |
| Francesco Bagnaia | +4000 | +5000 | +4500 |
The races in Austria and Hungary cemented what we knew already. MotoGP 2025 Podium Bets centers on second and third place now. Simply, Marc Marquez keeps on winning. When you see all those 1’s in the results column, it harkens back to the era before COVID where the Spaniard ruled everything. Like Valentino Rossi before him, the dominance was downright scary. Now, it is once again.
With another Marquez conquest, the wins keep piling up and the fact is the racer can coast over the final laps with ease. It is rare that anyone is close to him. To compare this to Formula 1 and Max Verstappen a few years back is not foolhardy. There were so many races where the race was over after Turn 1. It feels much the same with Marquez. His point lead makes it a matter of time when he will clinch.
Anyway, for those doing the math, the elder Marquez could actually seal up the points championship officially by Japan. That is even with all the sprint points. Keep an eye on those clinching props as September begins. They will appear out of almost nowhere.
Thankfully, the Moto2 and Moto3 are a little different. However, these divisions do not capture the buzz quite like the main event. Despite this, there are some ways to potentially cash in on what could become quite competitive. Yes, we are talking about who may wind up on the World Championship podium come November after the last race in Spain.
The MotoGP 2025 podium bets look at the Alex versus Bagnaia battle. Riders get in small slumps all the time but the last three races for both Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia have been troubling to say the least. Marquez has finished tenth or worse. Meanwhile, the Italian has gained precious little ground finishing ninth, eighth, and fourth.
Yes, the same struggles occurred for Bagnia at Austria and even at Hungary. The problem is other riders are creeping closer to Bagnaia’s place on the podium. Franco Morbidelli is 67 points out of third and Marco Bezzecchi is a mere 31 points away with three straight podium finishes. Teams like Aprilla and KTM are starting to show the form some believed could have been there earlier.
This MotoGP 2025 season could get turned on its heels. Maybe the better question is not Alex versus Francesco but perhaps if their spots are safe. It seems like that answer is no. Bagnaia’s number shortened to -175 and even the younger Marquez is not a lock. Tread carefully as both may not be the rock solid wagers they appear.
The MotoGP 2025 Podium Bets wonder could Pedro Acosta or Mario Bezzecchi pull off a Top 3? While Aprilla and Jorge Martin are rolling. Bezzecchi is now the one benefitting from the presence of last year’s world Champion. The Italian keeps drawing closer to a victory this year. Can this hot stretch continue into September and into the Far East?
With Bagnaia slumping badly, does he consider just tinkering with the bike until he gets it right for next season? That is something to be considered. It is no secret that the two-time World Champion has been unhappy with his Ducati bike all year. Even on Sunday, he could not finish among the Top 3. A few times this season Bagnaia just has not been able to hold spots late in the races.
Like we mentioned, with championship odds falling away, it is now the time to look at any and all alternatives. No one is suggesting bet the entire bankroll. Smaller wagers are not a bad idea here. Acosta and Bezzecchi both have the moxie and ability to find their way on the podium. Bagnaia’s spot is the most vulnerable and Bezzecchi has +250 odds to wind up inside the Top 3.
Keep in mind not to sleep on Acosta, however. If one likes the +500 risk, a handsome reward may be in the offing. Again, does Alex Marquez have enough points banked to avoid a collapse? Early in the summer, that was a yes. Now, it is not so certain.
MotoGP bets asks what is next. So, there is Catalonia, San Marino, then Japan in September. Many types of sporting bets will be at the ready. Check out our latest Vegas news and picks in the meantime.
