The Panthers are 5-1 straight up in the last six games facing the Oilers. At Florida, the Panthers are 6-1 SU in the past seven meetings.
The Oilers are 13-4 SU in their past 17 games. They are 6-2 SU in their last eight road games.
Florida is 7-2 SU over the last nine games. The Panthers are 15-5 SU in their last 20 home games.
Goals aplenty tend to be the order of the day when these two teams clash. The over has hit on the total in each of the past five Florida vs Edmonton games, even though the total has never been set lower than six goals in any of those games. On home ice, though, the Panthers are 4-6-2 on the total in the last 12 games against Edmonton.
The total has gone over in five of Edmonton’s last six games. And the over has hit in four of the last six games the Oilers have played against Atlantic Division clubs. However, the under has come in through six of Edmonton’s last nine games facing Eastern Conference opposition.
Five of Florida’s last six games have gone over. The over has also been the winning play on the total in four of the past five games against Western Conference teams and four of the last six games versus Pacific Division clubs.
The Oilers are 12-11-1 SU as an underdog in the betting line. Edmonton is 24-27 against the puck line as an away team. Florida is 23-26 against the puck line on home ice. The Panthers are 48-32-3 SU as the favorite in the odds.
It’s Game 4 of the NHL final and the Oilers don’t know who their starting goalie will be. Or if they do, at least they aren’t saying. Either way, it’s a disconcerting situation.
After pulling off one of the best stretches of his career from Rd2 with VGK through to eliminating DAL in the Western Final, Stuart Skinner has gone through a tougher time early in this #StanleyCup Final vs FLA. Stuart Skinner got the hook in Game 3 in favor of Calvin Pickard after allowing five goals. Over his last two playoffs, Skinner has allowed 33 goals in his 21 victories. He’s surrendered 61 goals during his 15 losses. That includes 30 goals against in six losses this year.
Whether he’s agitating the opposition with a big hit, by crashing the goal crease, or lighting the lamp with yet another big goal, there’s no question that Panthers forward Sam Bennett is leaving his mark on the NHL final.
Sam Bennett was a man possessed on this sequence, my lord.#StanleyCup

Set to be a UFA come July 1, Bennett leads the NHL playoffs with 14 goals. That’s more goals than he’s scored in six of his 11 NHL regular seasons. He’s scored four goals in the NHL final.
The Oilers didn’t merely lose Game 3, they lost the plot. They came unglued, playing right into the hands of the rugged, physical Panthers.
After two tight games, the Panthers got the game they wanted in Game 4. Florida likes to muck about in the mud. Edmonton needs a game with flow in order to succeed. Yet it’s the Panthers imposing their will in this series and that fact can’t be ignored. Take the Panthers to keep rolling and win Game 4 of the NHL final.
