Straight up, Golden State and Houston are 3-3 over the past six meetings between the two teams. Against the spread, the Warriors hold a 7-2 edge over the past nine games. At Golden State, the Warriors are 8-1 SU against the Rockets, but just 5-3-1 ATS through the last nine games.
Houston is 3-11 ATS in the last 14 games against Golden State. In all games the Rockets are 1-5 both SU and ATS. Houston is 1-4 ATS in the past five road games and in the last five games against Western Conference opponents. The Rockets are 1-4 SU over the last five times they’ve played teams from the Pacific Division.
Getting hot at the right time of year, Golden State is 10-4 SU in the past 14 games. The Warriors are 15-5 SU in their past 20 games facing Western Conference clubs. However, they are 1-4 ATS in the last five home games.
NBA playoffs betting trends say that the under is the play on the total. Each of the past seven games between Houston and Golden State have gone under. At the Chase Center, six of the past seven games between these teams have also gone under.
Each of Houston’s last three games have gone under. However, the over has come in through five of the past nine games played by the Rockets. On the road, three of Houston’s past five games went over. However, both unders during that span came in games against Golden State
Five of Golden State’s past eight games hit for the under. Five of the last six games the Warriors have played against Southwest Division teams also went under.
Houston is 10-18 SU as a betting underdog. The Rockets are 22-20 ATS as a road team. Golden State is 39-19 SU as the favorite in the betting line. The Warriors are 19-23-1 ATS on home court.
Houston was clearly outworked by Golden State in the Rockets’ Game 3 loss. The Rockets had 11 second-chance points, compared to 18 for the Warriors. Discipline was also an issue. Houston’s Dillon Brooks, assigned to guard Warriors star Steph Curry, was saddled with four fouls by halftime. He would eventually foul out of the game.

Offensively, Houston has struggled to find a groove in both losses during this series. The team has scored less than 100 points in each setback. The Rockets were held to 39.5% shooting in Game 3. Houston made just 58.3% of the club’s 24 free throw attempts in that game. Guard Jalen Green, who scored 38 points for the Rockets in their Game 2 victory, has been held to single digits in each loss.
Missing the injured Jimmy Butler, Golden State turned to the old guard to carry the day in Game 3. Superstar guard Steph Curry stepped to the fore. The two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion led the way with 36 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in Golden State’s 104-93 victory. Curry, 37, played 41 minutes.

Butler is dealing with a pelvic injury and a deep gluteal muscle contusion. His status for Game 4 is questionable. Off the bench in Game 3, Buddy Hield scored 17 points and Gary Payton II added 16.
As noted above, Golden State is 7-2 ATS in the past nine games facing Houston and 8-1 SU in the past nine home meetings with the Rockets. It’s all adding up in favor of the Warriors.
Then you factor in that Golden State is 12-3 SU in the past 15 home games. And Houston is 1-12 SU all-time at Golden State in the NBA playoffs. You should be going with the Warriors to cover in this NBA playoffs game.
