The 2026 NBA All-Star game takes place this Sunday, February 15, from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. This year’s event is the 75th iteration of the NBA All-Star game. The format of this year’s event, USA vs. World, sees three squads of NBA All-Stars facing off in a round-robin tournament. Each game will be 12 minutes. The teams will each have a minimum of eight players. Each team will play twice during the round-robin format. The two teams with the best records move on to the final. If there is a tie, point differential will serve as the tiebreaker.
All-Stars for this year’s game were picked by fans, NBA players, and the media. Fans had 50 percent of the vote, while the players and media each contributed 25 percent. NBA head coaches picked the 14 reserve players. Unlike other NBA All-Star games, there were no positional requirements for this year’s event.

The USA Stars team is coached by J.B. Bickerstaff of the Detroit Pistons. The USA Stars have two players who are in the top 10 in scoring in the NBA in Anthony Edwards (29.6) and Tyrese Maxey (28.8). Edwards is third in that stat in the league while Maxey ranks sixth. In addition, the squad has the No. 2 player in assists in Cade Cunningham (9.6). As for rebounding power, the Stars have Jalen Johnson (10.6) and Jalen Duren (10.5), who rank seventh and eighth in the NBA in that category. The other players on the team are Scottie Barnes, Devin Booker, and Chet Holmgren.
Bickerstaff has the luxury of having two Pistons’ players on his roster in Cunningham and Duren, who can help the other players work with the coaches’ schemes for the game.
The World team is coached by Darko Rajaković of the Toronto Raptors. The early betting favorites to win the 2026 NBA All-Star game, the world team is stacked with some of the best current players in the league. At the top of that list are Luka Dončić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Victor Wembanyama.
Dončić (32.8) and Gilgeous-Alexander (31.8) are the top two scorers in the league, while Jokić (28.8) checks in at No. seven. Jokić also leads the league in rebounds with 12.2. His teammate at the All-Star game, Karl-Anthony Towns, is second in that stat with 8.9. Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo has 10 rebounds per game, but has only played in 30 games this season. Wembanyama is in the same boat, picking up 11.1 rebounds per game in 38 outings this season.
As for assists, Jokić leads the league with 10.7, while Dončić is third at 8.6.
Unfortunately for the World team, Gilgeous-Alexander will not compete in the All-Star game due to injury. He has been replaced by Alperen Sengun. The other players on the World squad are Deni Avdija, Jamal Murray, and Pascal Siakam.
When it comes to current offensive firepower, it’s understandable why this team is the betting favorite.
When it comes to name recognition, it’s hard to beat the roster of the USA Stripes team, which is coached by Mitch Johnson of the San Antonio Spurs. That team is made up of: Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Donovan Mitchell, and Norman Powell. The question facing this squad is whether their veteran status will help or hurt them against the younger teams they are competing with.
Brown is the No. four scorer in the NBA with 29.4 points, while Mitchell comes in at No. 5 with 29.0 points per game. Leonard, Curry, and Brunson are ranked eighth through 10th in scoring. Mitchell is the No. 10 player in the league in assists. No one on Stripes ranks inside the top 10 in rebounds.
The Stripes squad has a lot of scoring power, but when it comes to assists and rebounds, the team is lacking. It will be interesting to see how this team works together as a unit when they are accustomed to carrying the scoring for their respective NBA clubs.
While the USA Stripes has a lot of scoring firepower, on paper it looks as if that might hurt the all around play of the team. The World team is also loaded with scorers, but it is more well-balanced when it comes to the team performing as a unit.
The betting pick is that the World team wins the 2026 NBA All-Star game.
