NBA Title Future Bets take on some shifts as we go deeper into the 2022-23 NBA season. We again are thankful that BetOnline online sportsbook is fast regarding these early numbers. The regular season is now almost a month old. Yes, games have been played, and trends are establishing themselves. Now, fans get to see the shifts on these numbers and perhaps pivot to other teams. What about teams like Memphis and Dallas?

NBA Title Future Bets takes a look at some longer shots. There was a crazy intensity and arguably buzz as this NBA season approached. What has happened over the first month has been nothing short of incredible. There has been a little of everything. There was a coach fired in Brooklyn, a bunch of unexpected starts, and some decent shifts in the numbers from training camp until now.
Honestly, there has been a team that has excelled as predicted. Milwaukee was going to get off to a hot start with a heavier emphasis on “home cooking.” Sure enough, they are 7-0 at home and have won ten of their first 12 games (at press time). Boston is 9-3 currently, with Cleveland and Atlanta not too far behind at 8-4. Again, the Bucks have drawn a lot of accolades, and rightfully so.
The talk that Milwaukee will regress a little more is somewhat true. Their start sent them right to the top of the numbers (fourth in training camp). Unfortunately, that translates into a loss of value that hopefully can get recouped sometime soon. Again, timing is essential, and right now is a bad time to wager on the Bucks winning the NBA Title. The same can be argued for teams like Golden State and Boston too.
Therefore, NBA Title Future Bets focuses on this first question. How would we bet on the Bucks? Honestly, that -525 to -550 number is scary. The fun approach and way to increase bankroll may be to pivot off of the Bucks and look down the table a little bit. There are better wagers to make than pulling the trigger on Milwaukee right now!
What about a few more NBA Title Future Bets, NBA fans? Think about how some teams have come out of the wilderness to shock the NBA world. Did anyone believe the Utah Jazz would get to ten wins this fast? Some argued it might take them to the All-Star break. This team was poised to tank the 2022-23 season away. Instead, they have a better record than even the Memphis Grizzlies.
Before everyone panics about Memphis, relax. This is a team that has won nine games in the young campaign. They have one of the best players in the league in Ja Morant. Furthermore, at +1800, the Grizzles still scream value in the future market. This is a young team with quite a window to win an NBA championship. Things are looking up for this squad this year and not just down the road.
Now, every team in the Western Conference saw what Memphis did last season. Again, the hope for teams is to get Ja Morant to isolate himself. Also, the competition tries to center on forcing mistakes from the young team that a veteran squad would not make. It is why Memphis taking care of teams like Minnesota the way they did on Friday is important.
Honestly, the one number betting pundits are interested in is the following. While Bovada and BetOnline have stayed mostly at +1500 to +1600, other sites have emphasized a bit more value. Sadly, this may be a temporary blip that gets corrected quickly. Still, Memphis carries value because of balance. Desmond Bane and Morant have been amazing offensively. Once their depth adjusts defensively, look out for Memphis in the NBA Title Future Bets.
The NBA Title Future Bets considers the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas advanced to the Western Conference Final before falling to the eventual champion Golden State Warriors. This was the team that upended Utah and caused them to go younger. Then, Dallas managed to get by the Phoenix Suns. That was unexpected at best. Naturally, Jason Kidd and Luka Doncic have found 2022-23 to be a little more trying.
So, the Mavericks have not gotten off to the start some expected. Yes, the Dallas schedule has been tougher than the league average. Their SRS (simple rating system) stands at 4.99. This positive number is significant despite their 6-5 (at press time) start. If one looks deeper at their overall rankings, Dallas is close to what they were last season.
Yes, part of the Mavericks’ offensive problems is sometimes easily solvable by simplifying things. Putting Christian Wood and Luka Doncic on the floor often creates easier matchups on both sides. It is also when Dallas is at their best. Their health is paramount to the fortunes of Dallas this season. Spencer Dinwiddle is quite good, but Wood is better, and those minutes will rise, and so shall the Mavericks.
For the NBA Title Future Bets, consider that +1800 number now.
