Okay, MLB fans, the Wild Card previews continue and the MLB predictions. The playoffs continue on Tuesday with the American League Wildcard and National League Wildcard rounds. Next, we examine an American League Wild Card clash. Royals vs Orioles bets look at a fun matchup which starts on Tuesday. Expect this best-of-three series to have a little of everything.
It is time to take a deeper look at the series which begins late Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Royals vs Orioles bets continue the October postseason party at Vegas Betting. The 2024 MLB season finally hits the second season. The World Series champion gets crowned by the first week of November at the latest. We look at two teams who have differing expectations as this postseason gets going.
Kansas City is 4-6 in its last ten games as Sunday’s game helped other teams (the Mets and Diamondbacks). However, maybe that road win in Atlanta gave the Royals a little confidence. Also, the Orioles started to play better. Baltimore won seven of its final ten games to close within three games of the New York Yankees. Yes, they ran out of time. However, is Baltimore primed to erase the bad memories of last year’s postseason?
Pundits kind of wonder if Baltimore and Kansas City can right themselves in time for Tuesday. Both teams looked like division contenders a month or so ago. Now, they are hopeful just to get back to that early season form. Never forget that our MLB Playoffs Las Vegas Odds look at this matchup as one that may just go all three games. This one has gone back and forth among more experts than we first thought.
Yes, the Bovada Las Vegas online Sportsbook review held some nice series odds and numbers for this American League Wild Card Round. Anyway, let’s continue on with this preview.
Now, the Royals vs Orioles bets series style leads off. Okay, this barrels in to our consciousness late on Tuesday afternoon. The last time we saw Kansas City in the playoffs was 2015. That was when the Royals made history and won the World Series over the New York Mets. Baltimore last made the postseason in 2023. They won 101 games but bowed out in three straight contests in the ALDS. The Orioles have lots of unfinished business.
So, the Orioles were expected to challenge for the AL East once again versus a revamped New York Yankees squad. Instead, Baltimore had a late-season swoon which allowed New York to clinch the division. Utlaimtely, Baltimore did start to play better over the final two weeks but it was too late. Now, the question is can the Orioles put the previous season behind them?
Expect this series to feature a good deal of nerves. Let us be frank here. Kansas City nearly hiccuped their way out of the playoffs. Baltimore was on pace for 100 wins yet barely won 90. The Orioles averaged nearly five runs a game for most of the season and fell back to 4.8. Kansas City did things a little bit differently and that is where the questions begin. Expectations are lower.
This series appears to be one that Baltimore is destined to win. Kansas City will make this close. Baltimore sweeping Minnesota to end the regular season is enough push to tilt things to the Orioles side.
Alright, so how many games will this series go? The Royals vs Orioles bets attempt to simply figure out if this series will go the distance or not. There are a few more betting options that go along with guessing a series length. Furthermore, there is the Game 1 then the series bets plus game by game outcomes.
Okay, so if one wants to go by scenario where Baltimore wins Game 1, Kansas City wins Game 2, and Baltimore wins Game 3, there is a bet for that. The number runs in at +450 to +500 or so. Game by game outcomes are far more difficult to predict even in a short series. Playing it safe lies the series double. If a bettor wants to wager on Baltimore, that number is almost Even.
Again, props from a player perspective will be available on Monday. Honestly, the Orioles bullpen scares some experts but the Royals bullpen has never been in this environment. Again, Baltimore getting the rude awakening they received in 2023 may serve them well in 2024.
Therefore, the idea is to take Baltimore to win in three games. Take the Over of 2.5 for the series in terms of games. It is -105 on BetOnline but -110 on Bovada and most other sportsbooks.
MLB Las Vegas Online Betting Sites look further ahead. Eventually, there will be World Series numbers to bet on. The feeling is that Baltimore could play Houston in the ALCS and Los Angeles could face Atlanta in the NLCS. One never quite knows but if the Braves get in, they might just win the World Series in 2024.
Good luck and thanks for reading! October will be a heck of a month for baseball!
