Game three of the Western Conference first-round playoff series between the Kings and the Sharks shifts to Los Angeles on Tuesday night with the Sharks aiming for a 3-0 series lead. Sharks overpowering the Kings so far
San Jose has stepped up its speed and aggressive play in the post-season and it has paid-off immensely. San Jose finds itself in the driver’s seat, up 2-0 in this series as it moves to Los Angeles. They have struggled though when playing in the Staples Center, where they have not won a game in the past three seasons. When these two teams met in last year’s playoffs, the Sharks dropped all four games there.
Los Angeles needs a ‘Quick’ turnaround to compete
In order to get back into this series, the Kings will need a ‘Quick’ turnaround if they do not want to fall behind 3-0 in the first-round. The first step is getting Quick back on track in net. He has been overrun with shots on goal and has allowed 12 of the Sharks 13 goals. As a team, the Kings will need to find a way to match the speed and the strength of the Sharks from end-to-end. Los Angeles is 10-0-1 in the past three years at home against San Jose.
Due to their success at home against the Sharks, the Kings are favorites tonight even though they trail in the series by two games.
