NASCAR heads down to the Phoenix area from Las Vegas. Yes, there should be some actual practice and qualifying this week. Furthermore, winds will not be too crazy this time around. Also, do not expect Kyle Larson to Max Verstappen this race like in Vegas. Can the 2024 Shriners Children’s 500 bets show us a few drivers that could win the race?
Once more, VegasBetting presents the table below in the NASCAR Vegas online betting odds for the fourth race of the 2024 season. We got pleasantly pleased to see that the weather may not give racers too many issues. So, let us go 2024 NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 Bets by the numbers. Currently, Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney are among the favorites. On the other hand, could another previous winner take the checkered flag instead?
NASCAR 2024 Phoenix Numbers | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Kyle Larson | +600 | +625 | +575 |
Ryan Blaney | +700 | +675 | +725 |
William Byron | +750 | +700 | +775 |
Ross Chastain | +850 | +850 | +975 |
Denny Hamlin | +900 | +950 | +900 |
Christopher Bell | +1000 | +1200 | +1100 |
Martin Truex Jr. | +1000 | +1200 | +1150 |
Kyle Busch | +1200 | +1200 | +1250 |
Joey Logano | +1400 | +1500 | +1400 |
Ty Gibbs | +1600 | +1800 | +1700 |
Tyler Reddick | +1800 | +1800 | +1900 |
Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney remain the favorites, but can one of them win in the 2024 NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 bets? Look at what happened last week and cringe. Larson led 181 of the 267 laps then easily cruised to a win in Vegas. Yes, Tyler Reddick got to within 0.4 seconds of him but he was not passing the Hendricks Chevy at that point. Simply, the race was won by Larson and no one was changing that outcome.
The 2024 season brought two chaotic results in its first two races. Unfortunately, the third race was predictable from the drop of the green flag on Sunday. Maybe this Sunday will be different, perhaps? There are a handful of drivers who have won recently. However, Larson and Blaney have led among the most laps in the post-pandemic era. Larson’s series numbers are coming down below +500 on some sites to win the 2024 NASCAR Championship.
As for Ryan Blaney, the defending 2023 champion might have something to say about that. Daytona was not quite so kind to him and Atlanta did not get him a victory. However, the Team Penske driver enjoys his Ford at Phoenix. Blaney has five top-five results in his last six appearances.

Hey at Vegas Betting, we know Blaney outperforms his race car consistently. Normally, at +725, he would be the better choice than Kyle Larson (+600 on Bovada). However, there is one other “dominator” to consider first.
So, yes enter the William Byron! The last three champions found a way to come up with the goods at the right time (Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Joey Logano). 2024 NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 Bets spotlights the one who was most dominant in 2023 at Phoenix Raceway.
Again, so many choices are at the ready. Ross Chastain won the Fall race last year holding off Ryan Blaney as Blaney clinched the points title. However, the Spring races have not been quite so kind to Chastain on the 1-mile track. Yes, this race is only 312 miles (approximately 500 kilometers). Chastain did have a heck of a car last November but in March, it is Hendrick and William Byron’s No. 24 Chevy that was tops in 2023.
Avg finish at Phoenix in the NextGen era (last 4):
— Dillon Gaudet (@GaudetWeather) March 4, 2024
1. Ryan Blaney 2.5
2. William Byron 7.3
3. Ross Chastain 7.5
4. Chase Briscoe 9.0
5. Joey Logano 9.5
6. Kyle Busch 11.8
7. Kyle Larson 12.5
8. Chris Buescher 12.8
Tyler Reddick 12.8
10. Ryan Preece 13.0
Denny Hamlin 13.0
Yes, now this is where it gets a little greasy. Byron, before some bad luck in November’s race, was running in the top three or four basically the entire race. He took the opening stages in both the March and November races. Furthermore, his car was the fastest in those opening segments. In March, the Hendrick Chevy closed the deal with ease and won. Also, he led a total of 159 laps combined in those two races.
People understand that Byron may be the next driver to win a NASCAR Championship. Though many are on the Kyle Larson bandwagon after last week, Byron may be the most consistent Chevy on his own team. Considering former title holders Larson and Chase Elliott are there, anything is possible. However, Byron remains our top choice for this Sunday’s race which starts an hour later at 3:30 pm EDT.
Alas, we have more Chevy 2024 NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 Bets. Yes, no one can discount Joey Logano here much. However, the Ford lost a lot of speed last week late and that remains troubling for this Sunday. We counter with a few of the Hendrick kind here.
Keep in mind, Chase Elliott’s No. 9 car races fast here. He won the 2020 NASCAR Championship at Phoenix. Elliott led a total of 246 laps in the two races that year. Before running into trouble in his last “Spring” race at this track, Elliott led 50 laps and enjoyed the fastest median speed. Then, trouble derailed his promising afternoon.
Then, we looked at Alex Bowman for a potential top five result (+350 on Bovada). It is nuts but Bowman finished ninth last year and had the third best speed in the final stage. As for Elliott, a Top 3 comes in at +500 and again that win on BetOnline at +2000.
Are there any total darts for Phoenix? A few come to mind. It gets hard to discount Martin Truex Jr. for a potential Top 5 result. Watch the number because it will shift especially if Toyota is faster in qualifying. After that, Tyler Reddick is worth a look and even Ty Gibbs (+1800 on BetOnline) who won here in the Xfinity Series.
Go Byron for the 2024 NASCAR Shriners Children’s 500 Bets looks like a winner for Sunday.
