NASCAR heads back to the “Hotel California” for this weekend’s Toyota/Save Mart 350. Now, this is more like a NASCAR road course as a 1.99-mile track. It will be a fun and exciting 110 laps of racing. Let’s hope it is not like last week at Chicago where Shane van Gisbergen got a break and ran with it. At Sonoma, position is often important and the course spreads out. Anyway, it is time to see what the 2025 NASCAR Sonoma Bets offer us this weekend.
VegasBetting rolls into those NASCAR online betting odds for the second race in July. Now, is the time to comb through the 2025 NASCAR Sonoma Bets. The numbers early on are a little too much like the Chicago numbers, Toyota made some late in-roads but Chevy ruled the roost led by Van Gisbergen in Chicago.

Either Toyota or Chevy have won in Sonoma since 2018. Honestly, it feels like Ford has not even sniffed a victory over the past half dozen races on the Southern California track. Given how the Trackhouse car performed late last week in Chicago, it is not that surprising to see them as favorites here. However, the number feels a little high. This course is not quite like last week’s street course.
Anyhow, when it comes to 2025 NASCAR Sonoma Bets, remember there has been a little less consistency than most experts and fans think. For example, Chris Buescher is the only driver to go 3-for-3 in finishing inside the Top 5. Three other drivers have done this inside the Top 10. Ironically, none of them have won the race. It is just one of those quirks and maybe the fact that the final stage is a long 55 laps.
The chances of rain in California are not very high for Sunday. With Mostly Sunny skies and temperatures around 80, it will be quite pleasant even with a slight southwest wind at 10 to 15 mph. Do not worry about too much dust and dirt getting kicked up on the track. It will not be that windy. Now, Van Gisbergen, like we mentioned won in Mexico and won in Chicago. The Trackhouse car has been excellent on road courses all season.
For Vegas Betting, we do not like rolling with the favorite in this way. However, if the 88 car gets away, he could very well run away with this race. If Michael McDowell did not have that throttle issue, perhaps Chicago would have been different. Right now, it feels like Van Gisbergen is in the groove.
So, remember those lap leaders in the 10-15% range? Chris Buescher and Chase Elliott have the ability to win at Sonoma..2025 NASCAR Sonoma Bets examine the No. 9 driver, the No. 17, and maybe a couple other possibilities for the Sunday afternoon race. After all, it would be boring if we had just one wager to make here. For those wondering, Tyler Reddick led the most laps with 35 last year before issues derailed his day.
As always, at Vegas Betting, any choice possesses plenty of risk. Did we get lucky with Van Gisbergen last week? The answer may be yes. No one is truly sure if McDowell could have kept fending off the 88 car. One thing is for sure. Chicago would have been quite entertaining if that had been the case. Those laps led percentage the past three years look as follows:
Alright, the numbers keep driving us back to Chevy here. For as good as Ty Gibbs was at times in Chicago, even Denny Hamlin could only do so much. He went from 40th to 4th at the Windy City track. However, the No.11 Joe Gibbs Racing car did not have the speed or acceleration to challenge for a podium spot. Hamlin more or less survived, got on the lead lap, and drove a nice race late.
Experts do keep wondering when Elliott is going to win at Sonoma. His last win on a road course was at Road America in July of 2021. Elliott’s average finish is 5.7 at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 over the previous three races. IF there was a time for the No. 9 to cross the checkered line in first, it may be on Sunday at last.
Okay, NASCAR Sonoma Bets eye the playoffs and in season tournament. For one, Elliott is in the playoffs as he has won already this season. However, Tyler Reddick remains the favorite in the In-Season Tournament at +200. How long will that last?
It remains hard to believe that Ryan Preece is among the contenders to win the in-season event. Preece has some excellent results in 2025 and has been close to victory a few times. Preece will likely make the playoffs but a win over the next several weeks would not be a shock. It might even come this week.
Anyhow,
