NASCAR heads back northward to Chicago for the second edition of the Chicago Street Race. Now, this 12-turn road course spans 2.2 miles throughout the streets of Downtown Chicago. It expects to be a crazy 75 laps of racing. Hopefully, it does not rain and do other crazy things like last year. At Nashville, things went quite south. Anyway, let us see what the 2024 NASCAR Grant Part 165 Bets offers this July 4th weekend.
VegasBetting looks to the road course experts for the NASCAR online betting odds for the first July race. Now, is the time to examine the 2024 NASCAR Grant Park 165 Bets. The Chicago numbers tried to look at last year’s race but the problem is so many variables contributed to the result in 2023. Anyway, it is table time as we try to make sense of what could be another fun time in “The Windy City.”

Lessons from Nashville sounds more like “Postcards From The Edge.” Bluntly, how fuel strategy and collisions decided the Ally 400 was frustrating at times to watch. 2024 NASCAR Grant Park 165 bets wonder how this race will go. Last week saw 79 cautions laps, five overtimes, and many extra laps of racing. In the end, Joey Logano stole victory from the clutches of well, something.
The race taught us that some cars go slower must save more fuel apparently. It was the one thing we got very wrong. It also hurt that all of our picks had some form of crazy bad luck or another. Elliott spun out and got hit at least twice. Denny Hamlin ran out of gas. Christopher Bell led a bunch of laps but got caught in lap traffic then crashed out.
Please understand that some weeks are going to go like this. Even Ross Chastain succumbed in one of the late overtimes to an accident. One of the big differences going into Chicago this year is that qualifying near the front does not guarantee success. Remember, Denny Hamlin won the pole last year and did not even lead after Turn 1. There is another notable difference too.
For Vegas Betting, there are three co-favorites more or less. Technically, last year’s winner, Shane Van Gisbergen is the slightest of slight favorites. Can he repeat in Chicago? The race distance will be around the same as last year went only 78 laps. Do expect the unexpected!
So, what about more with the playoff chase? Joey Logano sealed his spot with a win on Sunday at Nashville. Now, 11 winners are in the playoffs with five spots to settle. The good news for Martin Truex Jr. is that he is 143 points off the bubble. However, the bad news is that there are seven more races until the playoffs start on September 8th at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The winner of the NASCAR Grant Park 165 Bets
Here at Vegas Betting, we understand how volatile NASCAR betting can be. The last several races have featured some crazy twists and turns. Five overtimes is rare in NASCAR and all those laps (79) lost to cautions. That weather delay threw a wrench into things too as Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell were running quite well before it. Anyhow, check the weather for Chicago often.
Alright, there is potentially a front that could spawn some showers and thunderstorms right around race time into the evening on Sunday. Now, this can always change. Look at how the forecast for Nashville switched so much. In the end, it rained a little anyway.
Pundits believe the road course could be controlled by Chevy in some form. Look at how Trackhouse Racing performed last year. There is a wrinkle with expected sun early. That should heat up the track. With playoff positioning in mind, consider one of Kyle Larson or Chase Elliott in the Top 3.
Okay, NASCAR Grant Park 165 Bets look for a winner. Now, the challenge here is trying to figure out who among the best road course drivers can survive expected carnage, potential bad weather, many spinouts (see Marin Truex Jr. last year), and those dreaded Turn 5 and Turn 6 combinations. Yes, other turns caused their share of issues but those two seemed to play a key role.
Toyota performed very well throughout the early portions of the race last year. It was the very late stages where things went belly up. This is one of those races where if not Van Gisbergen then maybe Tyler Reddick finds a way. Reddick was very fast throughout practice, qualifying, and most of last year’s race. His average lap times were among the top three in each of the first two stages.
Finally, Christopher Bell and even Kyle Busch may have a say too. The problem with Busch is all the bad luck this season (continued at Nashville). Bell, at times, has not been much better. Taking Reddick here to win is hardly foolhardy.
Reddick snags win two at Chicago for our 2024 NASCAR Grant Park 165 bets this Sunday afternoon.
