The Las Vegas race gave us one hell of a twist. When NASCAR got racing, it looked like a familiar dominant theme early then the Hendrick Motorsports Chevy’s took over. Now, fans wonder what may happen next. However, expect the racing to be a bit more stretched out again this Sunday. Can the NASCAR URW United 500 bets take a few winning shots again? Okay, expecting a Hendrick podium again might be asking a lot.
Wow, those numbers came out fast this week! One must give thanks to the Vegas online sportsbook from Bovada. Yes, there is something significant news that has popped up in the last week or two. Now, here we go NASCAR Numbers broken down for this one-mile track on Sunday afternoon. It appears that Ford and a few Chevys could dominate the show with perhaps a trio of Toyota. Our table is below.
URW United 500 | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Joey Logano | +800 | +800 | +800 |
Ryan Blaney | +800 | +800 | +800 |

Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney top the list for the NASCAR URW United 500 Bets on Sunday. There were some incredible runs from the two drivers at Phoenix. Honestly, Blaney did everything but win the Spring and Fall race. As for Logano, he has won two of the past six races with an average finish of 4.3. That includes four top-five results and five top-tens.
There lies one huge concern. What the heck happened in Las Vegas on Sunday? Something seemed slightly off in testing, but qualifying and practice had a wrinkle, with Chevy’s looking pretty good. The race started with the Fords starting to fade bit by bit. By the end of the race, Hendrick Motorsports Racing dominated, leading 241 laps.
Phoenix Raceway tells the tale of starting closer to the front, which benefits heavily. Ten of the last 11 winners came from starting in the top ten. Eight of the previous nine came from the front three rows. Overtime does not typically happen at Phoenix either. That has occurred just once since 2017. Fords like Logano and Blaney dominated on these long runs early last year.
Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski liked the short-track package they tested that NASCAR will go to starting next week at Phoenix. What they as well as Kevin Harvick had to say about getting 50 minutes of practice to be ready to race next week: pic.twitter.com/Sk0LsMs20Z

Here at VegasBetting, we run straight into a huge dilemma. NASCAR Picks ponders the usual correlation between Las Vegas (1.5-mile intermediate) and Phoenix (1 mile short). Are the co-favorites reliable?
So, perhaps these URW United 500 bets could be a little different? Expect the practices to be pretty good for Ford based on how Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano enjoyed the short-track package. However, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing team appears to have some advantages. They tested pretty well at Phoenix, along with a few of the Toyota cars. Practice will be 50 minutes, and then qualifying will take place.
Again, Larson gets forgotten about a little. Last week, the No. 5 car led 63 laps but had pulled out to more than a two-second lead over the field. With a few laps to go, Aric Almirola caused a caution which changed the entire Pennzoil 400. Larson’s pit crew got edged out by William Byron’s. Byron’s No. 24 Chevy made it out of the pits first, then held off Larson, Alex Bowman, and two Toyotas to win.

Bluntly, Kyle Larson smiled for the cameras and praised his teammate for the win. Privately, he was seething, knowing he was so close to another Las Vegas win. Larson, unfortunately, has missed out on a few close calls the past couple of seasons. Sometimes that is just how it goes in NASCAR. Long-run speed is something the Chevy had a huge advantage of on Sunday. With few cautions, this bodes well again for Hendrick.
Experts see a potentially easy win for a motivated Kyle Larson. Revenge is the ultimate motivator, and the No. 5 wants to get in victory lane. With Chase Elliott out for multiple races, the opportunity is there for other drivers to gain points and show value while they can. Championship odds have shortened for Larson and lengthened a bit for Elliott already. Our bets focus on a Larson win Sunday evening from the one-mile track in Phoenix.
Yes, gambling on bonuses from longer shots for the NASCAR URW United 500 Bets proves to be an intriguing strategy. The two Toyota who moved up rapidly during the scramble were lost in the Hendrick podium sweep. One was expected in Christopher Bell, and the other was Bubba Wallace. Now many betting sites bonuses like Wallace a bit here. Maybe that top-five or top ten can be replicated. Toyota may have to be watched at a sneaky +250.
NASCAR Cup Drivers who improved their best career Las Vegas finish last Sunday:

William Byron: 5th➡️1st
Bubba Wallace: 6th➡️4th
Christopher Bell: 7th➡️5th
Austin Cindric: 19th➡️6th
Justin Haley: 14th➡️8th#NASCAR
Again, the correlation lies well here. Though the Fords could show better if there were more cautions, one has to wonder. Unfortunately, Phoenix represents a bit of a crossroads, but at +3500, Wallace is worth taking a shot on, or maybe even a Christopher Bell at +1000. Look where the top-five and top-ten numbers come in for the two drivers. For Wallace, they should be plus money.
Taking the driver as the fourth wheel is not a bad idea here.
What about a few more kicks at the can for Phoenix on the 12th?
Take a small shot at Alex Bowman (+2000) and Daniel Suarez (+3000). Both could be the ones to watch.
Our VGB Pick for the NASCAR URW United 500 Bets is Kyle Larson. Lastly, scope these top-flight online betting sites.
