The “Clash At the Coliseum” gave us the itch. When NASCAR got racing over the weekend, it boosted the adrenaline and got the juices flowing. Now, fans look forward to the races that count. However, expect the racing to still be close, fun, and full of contact. Can the NASCAR Daytona 500 bets hit the long shot again? Okay, picking Martin Truex Jr. here would be pushing it, but there are other choices.
Below are some of the top drivers in our NASCAR Vegas betting odds for the Daytona 500, thanks to the online sportsbook from Bovada. As the uncertainty grows, we go over a few scenarios. So, let us go NASCAR betting numbers breakdown style for this wild and crazy race. It would appear that Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin are all co-favorites. On the other hand, might a driver like Ryan Blaney or Bubba Wallace steal the show?
Daytona 500 | |
---|---|
Chase Elliott | +1200 |
Denny Hamlin | +1200 |
Kyle Busch | +1200 |
Ryan Blaney | +1200 |
Joey Logano | +1400 |
Kyle Larson | +1400 |
William Byron | +1400 |
Bubba Wallace | +1600 |
Ross Chastain | +1600 |
Brad Keselowski | +1800 |
Alex Bowman | +2500 |
Austin Cindric | +2500 |
Austin Dillon | +2500 |
Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch top the table for the NASCAR Daytona 500 Bets. There were concerns from last season with Toyota and such. However, keep in mind Kyle Busch ran solidly at “The Clash” and did finish in the top three. Denny Hamlin performed well until late in the race, and Chase Elliott gears up for Daytona anyway. It does seem fans and bettors fawn over Elliott a bit too much at Daytona.
The lesson the “Next-Gen Car” gave us on Sunday was interesting. Yes, these are way too early picks, but the data does not lie here. The good news comes this way. The only major incident was the Ty Gibbs fire in practice on Saturday. No bouncing tires or crazy car issues plagued the event last weekend. That was the best news of all.
Thankfully the Next-Gen car at this race sees qualifying done via the two heat races – Bluegrass Vacation Duels (two chartered spots and two non-chartered). The top two speed merchants get the nod. Now, the Duels determine the rest of the field.
Here at VegasBetting, we pay our respects and condolences to the Jarrett family. Why? Simply, NASCAR Picks owes a lot to the Jarrett racing family. That 1993 Daytona 500 remains one of the classic finishes of all time. It showed why straying away from the favorites could again be profitable on February 19th.
So, what happens at the Daytona 500 this time? Expect the practices to be pretty good for Bubba Wallace. NASCAR Daytona 500 Bets highlights the driver at +1600, who should be among the top drivers. This is because Wallace excels on the 2.5-mile track tri-oval. Even with the debut of the Next-Gen car, Wallace was heavily in contention last year, even with all the caution flags.
Again, Toyota’s were deceptively fast (some of them) last year at Daytona. Wallace finished second and ran out of time as he tried to pass rookie Austin Cindric. Martin Truex Jr. was fastest during the first two stages but faded and ultimately finished back in the 13th. Wallace showed much speed and proficiency on 2.5+ mile tracks before. See his win at Talladega and his ability at the duels.
Granted, Bubba Wallace looked every bit like the pouting race driver. Keep in mind again that Sunday was a non-points race. It was not like Wallace got slammed or hit anyone at around 200 mph. This represents one of those get-on-and-move-along moments. The 23XI Racing driver and his No. 23 car know what is at stake in 12 days. Wallace came so close last year to winning the whole enchilada.
Pundits see an opportunity here with Wallace. For better or for worse, the driver shows the ability to win. Can he finish on the world’s biggest stage for NASCAR? No one will be looking for revenge initially during a race that naturally could feature anywhere from 8-12 cautions. Could there be some nice battles with the Ford cars once more? Absolutely! That is almost expected. Wallace carries an intriguing chance to cross the checkered line first.
Furthermore, taking advantage of bonuses for a few more NASCAR Daytona 500 Bets appears to be a great strategy. A week after the Super Bowl means the Daytona 500 is the only game in town. Also, the last three races at Daytona have shown a Ford domination. Simply, many betting sites bonuses hammer in on Ford’s chances of being good. Ford shows a value of +160 among manufacturers. They should be favorites, including Ryan Blaney.
Do pay attention to the fact that Ryan Blaney did everything but win last season. Besides some good results, the Ford driver just kept missing the “W”. He didn’t even get far in the playoffs. Last season, Blaney finished fourth allowing Austin Cindric and his Team Penske Ford the glory. If the No. 12 had been a bit more selfish, the push could have gone to Blaney and the victory.
Taking the driver as the fourth wheel is not a bad idea here.
Are there a few swings to take at Daytona on the 19th?
Take a look at Ryan Preece at +3300 and Ricky Stenhouse at +3000. Both could contend on the big track.
Our best choice for the NASCAR Daytona 500 Bets includes Ryan Blaney. Lastly, scout out these great online betting sites.
