What is that sound you hear? Yes, the roaring engines make a return this weekend at the Busch Clash at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. However, it will be another two week before the NASCAR races count when the green flag comes down for the Daytona 500 on February 18th. As the season draws closes, there could be a few new betting theories to try out. Can the 2024 NASCAR Cup bets point to a few drivers who can win it all?
Below, we list a few drivers expected to contend among the NASCAR online betting Vegas odds for the 2024 NASCAR Championship. We look at some of the notable news items that may have an impact too. So, let us go 2024 NASCAR Cup Bets by the numbers. Right now, William Byron and Kyle Larson are the favorites. However, do we hear from young guns like Reddick and Bell again?
NASCAR 2024 Early Series Numbers | |||
---|---|---|---|
William Byron | +550 | +575 | +550 |
Kyle Larson | +550 | +575 | +560 |
Ryan Blaney | +750 | +550 | +580 |
Denny Hamlin | +800 | +725 | +730 |
Chase Elliott | +850 | +850 | +800 |
Christopher Bell | +900 | +850 | +890 |
Martin Truex Jr. | +1000 | +850 | +930 |
Kyle Busch | +1100 | +1200 | +1400 |
Joey Logano | +1200 | +1400 | +1175 |
Tyler Reddick | +1400 | +1600 | +1375 |
Ross Chastain | +1400 | +1600 | +1700 |
William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Team Hendrick lead the numbers, but can they finish things at Phoenix? Look at what has gone on in Phoenix the past couple of years. Chase Elliott had a chance to repeat and did not. Kyle Larson then took his turn and did not. Last year, both Larson and Byron had great cars but came up just short to Ryan Blaney. Could strength in numbers go up in smoke again?
The fun part in this 2024 season is how much fun it could be. Watch the NASCAR series on Netflix and yes, all five episodes. That illustrates perfectly the amount of chaos in the 2023 Championship Chase. Hendrick does enjoy some advantage but Phoenix has proven to be a mixed bag. Could even Chase Elliott crash the party. People forget Elliott was one of the best drivers over the final ten races. He missed the playoffs due to an early-season injury.
When it comes to Hendrick and Chevy at these later races, and particularly Phoenix, that causes some pause when it comes to glory. Something seemed a hair off in the final stage of last November’s race. Again, can Chevy catch up to Ford when it comes to Phoenix? If there is a Ford in the Championship Four, that makes picking a Hendrick much more difficult a proposition.
Hey at VegasBetting, we are mindful of this fact. Why? Simply, 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Bets could feature a Ford crashing the party when it counts the most.
So, who may lead the younger drivers? The last three champions found a way to come up with the goods at the right time (Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney). 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Bets spotlights the three drivers who could jolt this race yet again.
Again, Christopher Bell got so close last year. He made it to the Championship Four, had one of the fastest cars early, but did not have the brakes. Ultimately, his day ended when the right brake caliper blew out a tire. His championship hopes ended on a mechanical. That will only make him more hungry this year. Bell has shortened to +900 even at Bovada.
Yes, there exists a common thread in these predictions. Bell loves racing and it is his life. That is why as much as Ryan Blaney timed things right, this may be the year Chevy or Toyota figures out Next-Gen at Phoenix. Bell had a very good car during the playoffs for the most part and one of the most consistent. Do not again count out Chase Elliott.
People forget Tyler Reddick in all of this. With the pressure on guys like Chase Elliott and especially Bell, could Reddick sneak up the ranks and steal the championship? The good news for Reddick and the 23XI Racing team is that he was close last season. Reddick almost made the Championship Four. If guys like Hamlin falter and one of the Hendricks, does the No. 45 car take those next steps? He is worth a shot.
Again, we have some longer 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Bets. Yes, we stay away from Ryan Blaney as his number is too short right now. Heading down the list to guys like Ross Chastain (+1700 on MyBookie) and even Chris Buescher (+2000 on Bovada) are likely more profitable choices. These are those drivers who can win races and make an impact in the playoffs. Remember, that Ford at Phoenix theory too.
Do note that Buescher has been there before. Besides that the RFK Racing driver can win on the road courses, the intermediates, and yes the superspeedway. Again, that miler at Phoenix sets up well for the Ford and particularly RFK. If they can figure out some of the races in-between, Buescher showed last year he can deliver the goods
The other wrinkle is the Joey Logano even year. It is crazy but Logano does better in even numbered campaigns (see 2018 and 2022). Do not count him out at +1400 on BetOnline. However, we roll on Chris Buescher here.
Is there that long shot for 2024? There may be but it is not likely.
Keep an eye on Stewart-Haas Racing as they have a few drivers with low expectations who could surprise this season.
Our top choices for the NASCAR Cup Series Bets include Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, and Chris Buescher.
