Okay, when one thinks about it, the entertainment world knows no bounds. Bovada online sportsbook delivered some soliid numbers for the Miss Universe Pageant 2023 Edition. These numbers are going to anger some because it is hard to gauge an 85 woman field that features internet voting. Keep in mind that R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States stunned many in 2022 by winning it all.

The Miss Universe 2023 Best Bets looks at the event from a very simple and straightforward way. Angelina Usanova of the Ukraine is a very slight favorite over Diane Leyre of France. Again, with 85 participants, there are so many possible longer shots even to consider. However, Usanova has slightly separated herself from the rest of the field. The key word is slight.
So, looking at some of the numbers for Saturday’s event reveal a few things. Again, the major events occur before the coronation night. Thankfully, the results are not leaked because the internet voting takes place on Saturday itself. The Ukrainian representative went with a national costume that embodies her nation’s struggle. Aside from the snafu of being seated next to Miss Russia, Miss Ukraine is ready to contend for glory.
Now, maybe the goodwill has worn off some. As always, expect some considerable drama with certain contestants. It is almost inevitable. That being said, no one should be surprised if Usanova makes it to the final rounds. She has the ability to win this. While Usanova will not come out of almost nowhere, there is little doubt she can contend. It would almost be more of a surprise if she did not.
The focus lies in the final. Will there be a surprise then? It seems like Usanova has as good or a better shot than her competitors at this point. Sure, anything can happen but the Ukrainian has a style, grace, and power that make her difficult to beat. Usanova is the slight favorite for a reason on Saturday.
So, Miss Universe 2023 gets American. Yes, there is one bonafide top three and at worst top five candidate. Noella Voigt is tied for third with a logjam of contestants. However, she ranked in the top five in preliminary previews for her stunning beauty and fierce nature. One cannot underestimate the influence Miss USA winning last year has here. The Miss Universe 2023 Best Bets point to a few other things too with Voigt.
With several gambling options at the ready, the hope was Voigt would get a bit more value. However, her number shortened to as low as +950 on BetOnline while the American is +1000 everywhere else. The Venezuelan ancestry and her father being a professional baseball player did not hurt gene wise as Voigt has held quite a track record in winning pageants – culminating with the Miss Utah and USA triumphs.
So, the pictures are worth more than a thousand words here. One thing Voigt clearly has going for her is that charisma and ferocity. She is not afraid to speak her mind. With a strong-willed mother and father, the young American is ready for anything and everything the competition can dish out. This may be the strongest chance of an American repeat in a long, long time. That is since the 1950’s.
Simply, numbers will not move much from now until later in the week. As a matter of fact, Voigt might even inch slightly slower on some books. That may be the only thing to keep an eye on. Honestly, she has as much of a chance as Usanova and Leyre. It all comes down to the voting at the end. No one is truly sure of what may or may not happen. However, Voigt is an absolute contender to win. .
Okay, let’s head down that long list in the Miss Universe 2023 Best Bets. Bluntly, this seems easy enough but is much harder than it looks. Trying to watch dozens of videos is far from an easy process. Then, there is the arduous look at numbers and maybe a few longer shots for the road. This figures to be a wild ride and we even have a debut entrant from Pakistan.
Now, the only problem with Erika Robin of Pakistan is she is right around the +1000 to +1200 range from an odds standpoint. That is not exactly a longer shot. However, we looked at some ladies from a few tiers if you will. This hopefully will take some time to allow bettors to focus on other wagers here. Miss Australia’s Moraya Wilson has had our eye for awhile and she is in the +1600 to +2000 range.
Yes, there are a few others to consider too. Keep a look out for Michelle Dee from the Philippines (+1500 on Bovada), Miss Aruba Karol Croes (+2500), and Miss Italy’s Carmen Panepinto (+3300). All three ladies scored well in preliminary previews and could surprise.
For the Miss Universe 2023 Best Bets, picking the Australian here may not be a bad move.
