The top NBA Eastern Conference Champion Futures pick since the start of the 2021-22 season has again begun to lengthen more and more in the odds. When it comes to the Brooklyn Nets, nothing has come easy. Now, there are more developments as the team continues to lose games. Oh, they also traded James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons. Yes, there is more to the trade but…

So, here we are again. Brooklyn is not winning 55 games or even 50 games or 2/3 of their contests this NBA season. The Nets would have to win 21 of their final 26 games just to get to that level. Even 45 wins is not something guaranteed. Brooklyn has slipped to 7.5 games behind the top-seed Miami Heat in the race for the Eastern Conference top seed. The Nets are only 3.5 games away from being out of the playoffs altogether.
The infighting was evident among the media but does Ben Simmons help in an addition by subtraction way? It’s a good question. Now, Brooklyn getting healthy would give us a better idea of where to even gauge the Nets at this stage. That is the problem. No one knows. What is this team like with a healthy Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and supporting cast?
Will they ever get healthy tho ? Serious question, last season it was injuries non stop this season same thing, so now they'll get healthy all of a sudden ?

The fact that there are other feel-good stories out there and teams that are more like teams has to bother backers, bookies, and the rest. This does not bode well. Now, the arguments for NBA Eastern Conference Futures Updated Picks starts. Naturally, there are the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and maybe more?
It is very obvious to see why the Milwaukee Bucks almost caught the Brooklyn Nets in the odds. The team around Giannis Antetokounmpo combined with his all-around ability especially on the defensive end elevates their status. Also, teams like the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers just do not have the experience like the Bucks do. Simply, the Milwaukee Bucks are our updated NBA Eastern Conference Champion Futures pick.
As the All-Star Break approaches (starts on Friday), the Milwaukee Bucks have made a slow and steady move to contend for NBA Eastern Conference Champion Futures for several reasons. Once again, the Warriors chances have shortened and even at MyBookie, the Bucks have almost reeled in the Nets (Milwaukee is now at +275 to win the Conference).
It is all about the second half so far. Every team above the Brooklyn Nets, including the Milwaukee Bucks have been pretty hot. Over the past ten games, while the Nets keep losing, every team above has won at least six games. Milwaukee has won seven out of their previous ten to stay just two games out of the Eastern Conference lead.
Again, the Bucks are pushed by Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, they are a team that is way more than “The Greek Freak”. Milwaukee did take a thumping in Phoenix last week but they swept through Portland and Los Angeles with much ease. NBA teams will bring their best against the defending champs. That is especially true of the Suns who lost the title to Milwaukee last season.

While Serge Ibaka does not move the needle much, Milwaukee could always use a bit more depth as they try to defend their title.
For the NBA Eastern Conference Futures pick, our best bet is to now choose the Milwaukee Bucks over Brooklyn.
The Miami Heat (+540) and Philadelphia 76ers (+290) are looking more solid this year. Could they win this? There is always a chance and Miami does lead the East at 37-20. Meanwhile, Philadelphia could make a move at 34-22, near the top of the Eastern Conference. Consider a motivated James Harden could at least be a slight boost over an unmotivated Ben Simmons.
The Miami Heat, by contrast, are just so balanced. They have the depth to go up against teams like Cleveland, Brooklyn, and even Milwaukee.
The big help for Miami is they have a lot of value from +500 to +600 currently. The only problem is that Miami’s numbers are to shorten.
Out of the two challengers, the Miami Heat may be the better choice to win the Eastern Conference over Philadelphia.
MyBookie went a little longer with their odds with Cleveland and that is more the exception. The good news is that the Cavaliers have good value. With a balanced roster and now adding Caris LeVert, the Cavaliers can compete with any team in the tightly packed Eastern Conference.
Even with the Cavaliers, MyBookie offers at +1900. This is not going to last given Cleveland is just two games out of the conference lead. Furthermore, more pundits are catching on to the idea of the Cavaliers making a deep playoff run. Cleveland is worth a small unit wager at this number now.
Take the Milwaukee Bucks to win the NBA Eastern Conference Title this season.
