Things cannot get anymore exciting on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 when the Dallas Stars play host to the Chicago Blackhawks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This NHL contest will begin at 8:30 PM ET in a rematch of a Stars win from one week ago. Both teams are dealing with injuries, but will never use them as excuses as they battle for points. We will back the host Stars in the upset tonight.
Dallas Stars: Out to extend point streak
Dallas has a chance to extend its point streak to seven games when they host the Blackhawks tonight in Texas. Dallas last played on Saturday, a 5-1 drubbing of the Philadelphia Flyers. They did suffer a loss in that game though when center Vernon Fiddler went down with an upper-body injury. He will be out at least one week of play while he recovers. Dallas will also be without Stephane Robidas for four months because of a broken leg.
Chicago Blackhawks: Decent lead in the Central
Chicago has a six-point lead in the Central Division of the Western Conference. They were able to snap their season-long three-game losing streak on Sunday with a 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers. In that game, Chicago recorded goals on three of four power play opportunities. The Blackhawks had to remove goalie Corey Crawford from the game with a lower-body injury. He is expected to miss a short amount of time.
