We visit Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, December 22, 2013 to watch the NFL contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears at 8:30 PM ET in front of a national audience. These two teams enter this game in first place in their respective divisions and control their own destinies. With both teams needing a win on Sunday, we will back the Eagles on the rebound at home to grab the win.
Philadelphia Eagles: Need to rebound fast
After an embarrassing loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, the Eagles need to rebound quickly in order to stay atop the NFC East standings. The Eagles’ secondary was decimated by Matt Cassel and the Vikings and head coach Chip Kelly’s kickoff strategy regularly put the Vikings in excellent field position to begin each drive. The Eagles will need to play better from top to bottom on Sunday in order to win this contest.
Chicago Bears: Headed for NFC North title
With a win on Sunday, the Bears will come one game closer to winning the NFC North title. They received a ton of help from the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night when Baltimore beat Detroit on the road in the final minute of the game with a 61-yard field goal. Now that there is some distance between Chicago and Detroit, the Bears will need to fend off the Green Bay Packers in the standings. Green Bay helped the Eagles on Sunday by beating the Cowboys in the final minutes in Dallas.
We head over to the online sportsbook found at Bodog.eu to find the betting lines for Sunday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears in the City of Brotherly Love.
